Nurse Dormitory Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital

Surrounded in a dense community in Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital’s dormitory area, cross ventilation in all units became our main concern of this new nurse dormitory in order to decrease the usage of air-condition.
The building is designed to be single-loaded corridor for good flow ventilation. The zigzag terraces were shaped to avoid direct contact with surrounded dormitory. Furthermore, it even offer more natural light into the building which is good for plantation and drying clothes. The big entrance hall became a decent public recreational space which links with the garden in the back. On the other hand, the big green terrace in the center of the building is recreational space for nurses in dormitory.
